Gpu upgrade from sli 980tis

Yeah uhmmmm the only upgrade you can make RIGHT NOW that would be remotely worth it would be SLI 1080 tis. However I would wait for Volta if you can. Will it be worth the upgrade? How the hell would we know? Probably. The 1080ti is kinda worth it so the 2080 ti (or whatever it's called) should be worth it. However maybe Nvidia goes mental and charges like 20% more than the 1080ti for like 5% more performance. Who knows.

Honestly at that res I don't think it's worth doing until maybe next generation...

 

Your 980Ti's are getting really good clocks so it's almost like having SLI stock 1080s. So not really worthe upgrade unless you're going to build a whole new system and keep the other one for someone else/spare/miner or something

Well then Volta might be your answer. Just not sure when it will come and what it will have to offer.

 

1080ti doesn't sound bad for 1440p 144Hz if you ask me ...

I'm sure it's not but I currently have the same or more fps than a 1080ti in the games I play ATM so it's a definite side grade for me
