Need a little case help.

Hey all, I've been slowly gathering parts for my first rig here and there and for the most part I've got everything sussed out, except for the case. I originally wanted to go with a nice clean white nzxt s340 elite but after listening to gamers nexus concerns in regards to thermals in comparison to something like the corsair 470x or 570x I'm less sure now. Do case thermals really impact anything that much overall? I dig the 470 and 570 as well but obviously they're at least a bit more expensive than the elite.

i have the NZXT S340 ELITE in white and thermal wise, well, i have a custom loop, and i idle at around 30. and when on load i go up to about 60-70 centigrade.

In other words pretty damn warm haha, well thats good to know. Assuming I'm doing the conversion from celsius to fahrenheit properly.

bear in mind, i do live in a hot country where advrage temps are about 40-50 degrees anyway

Good to know, I do wish nzxt would have made room for two fans up top at least though, seems like a strange design decision.

it is annoying, but i havent got a fan there anyway, it looks a bit out of place.

i know. but it is very hot in my room anyway.... ill tell you when it catches fire :)

The case I'd recommend would be the Cougar Panzer.

 

Thermal-wise, if they're running that hot, don't expect them to last as long overall unless they get plenty of breathing room. The case I'm suggesting has nice, big, open mesh panels that lets in lots of air for all of the components.
