what games, because that GPU is below the specifications dude. I believe it's GTX 970 minimum.

I thought the minimum was the GTX 960?

And the 750 ti is only a few frames slower than a 960 because it has a "ti".

no, gtx 960 is better, gtx 970 is minimum, rx480/ 580 or gtx 1060 for good vr experience, 980ti would be the best for VR.

Opmerking: voor sommige inhoud voor Rift is mogelijk een computer vereist die betere specificaties heeft dan de minimale of aanbevolen specificaties van Oculus. Raadpleeg de aanbevolen instellingen bij inhoud in de Oculus-winkel.

 

GTX 750TI is echt geen VR kaart. Beetje vreemd ook dat je voor dit systeem VR gaat aanschaffen. Je moet in games 90fps targets halen op een resolutie > 1080p.

what? it says gtx 960/1050ti for the minimum, 970 would give you a decent experience.

The 970 is probably more than 30% faster than a 750 Ti and the processor you have si slower than the minimum recommended but I highly doubt taht woudl realistically be an issue here. I a questioning your choice to buy a "$850-900" controller/display unit for your $450 computer. I don't want to sound like a rich as dude who doesn''t value money. What I a saying i that HREs don't belong on a 10 year old rusty bmw ...

Wrong VR heaset. You have the vive, not oculus. The Vive needs to hit 90fps minimum if I remember correctly.

to be honest you need anything from a 970 upward for playable VR. optimal would be a 1080 or 1080Ti, but a 1070/980Ti would be super smooth already

Well This is the oculus website. Apart from the fact that the site is shit imo and some the technical stuff is outright retarded, this is moreover completely wrong.

I am saying that owning a rift myself, resting on my tower beside me.

I got my Vive for $500 on craigslist USD lol.

they tried to sell more by lowering the requirements, i agree, with minimum requirement, you will get a shitty experience.

I woudl have prefered to buy a vive like he did because I do not agree with bullshit like this but someone offered me an almost unused Rift for 350 ... had to take it :P

I had a chance to play with the oculus not too long ago, I like that the headset is more comfortable then the vive and I liked the touch controllers, but the vive feels like a superior exp. Given the price though, if I got the rift at $350, id jump on it too, no questions asked.
