HDDs are sortof fine to buy used if you can get a crystaldisk image of it and its not too over used but SSDs i would definatly not buy used unless i needed to for some chalange or something

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Builds:

The Toaster Project! Northern Bee!

The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0)

Back in my day I got a 240GB for £50 (on sale)...

Anyway, I wouldn't buy second hand, and would suggest saving a bit more for 240GB

I edit my posts a lot.

I only play csgo and rocket league so it's 12gb for both them games, any other games I'd just use a hdd

I would only buy an used SSD if you know and trust the person. My SSD I bought used off my brother. It was a Samsung SSD so I could see how much data he transferred so far. And knowing him I knew it wouldn't be physically damaged in anyway.

You played 2 hours to die like this?

Specs

Cpu: AMD FX-6300 3.5GHz 6cores

Gpu: GTX 750 Ti (Zotac)

Mb: 970A-G46 ATX AM3+ (MSI)

Case: Phanteks Eclipse P400

10gb Ram

If the owner will let you test it out before and you can see what the Total Terabytes Written (some drives don't have the field at all, don't buy them)   and it's a good brand, it might be worth it.

Refurbished SSD's should be considered untouchable.  Manufacturers reset the SMART data so you could be buying a drive that has one foot in the grave.
