well something has clearly happened to the OS, I don't think there is much chance of getting your data back if it wasn't backed up or stored in a cloud service somewhere already. 

 

I hear there are some 3rd party applications that you can use on your PC to recover your data but I would hesitate to use them personally.

hmm, ok. So I would want to flash it using nexus toolkit or something like that?
