Hello everyone! I've got an important problem (probably) with the USB ports. At regular intervals, when i move the mouse it  disconnects and reconnects (i hear the sound of windows too). In some times, my keyboard do the same thing, but it doesn't reconnect. I had this problem with my scanner (today), when i was trying to scan some documents. I listened to the sound from the windows and my scanner stopped working. When i had this problem only with my mouse, i tried to change USB port. It worked for a few hours or a couple of days and then it started do the same thing again.

Can anyone help me?

P.S. My O.S. is Windows 7

One possibility is that one of the devices you have plugged in the usb ports has a kink or problem with the cable.

For example, in some exact positions, the cable from the mouse could be bent at such angle that inside the mouse where the cable comes out, the wires could touch and short, for example the 5v and ground wires (the power supply for the mouse could touch).. and that could cause the usb controller to reset , as in disconnect all usb ports and reconnect them, to protect itself.

I'd suggest replacing the mouse with another one for a few days to see if that solves the issue. If it does, there's the most likely problem, the usb cable .. and you probably could fix the mouse by replacing the cable.

Another possiblity would be bad solder joints on the usb connectors or damaged soldered joints.  For example maybe you pulled on the cables often, or something you had plugged in fell down from the desk pulling the connector from the back of the pc.

THe mechanical stress of pulling out something from connectors on the back could in theory crack or weaken the solder that connects  the connectors to the motherboard making the connection unreliable. But this is kind of unlikely.

Another possibility (rare, but more likely than previous) could be that the power supply is starting to go out and for some reason it no longer provides stable 5v to the motherboard, which it uses for the usb ports in the back. If the 5v is unstable, the devices you have plugged in could turn off and on often, with the fluctuations of the power supply.
