i5 or i7 quad core

I'm a budding graphic designer, I use Photoshop and illustrator on my PC running a 3rd gen i3 running at 3.2ghz with hyper threading, and with a system memory of 4gb , rendering time is getting worse on illustrator. I'm planning to buy the Inspiron 7567 should I pick the i5 or i7 version.

i reccemend you look into ryzen 1600 or 1700 prebuilts and see if that is in your price range.

i7 quad core because those applications can take advantage of the extra processing cores and threads if you want a laptop.

Agreed, that means an i7.....or, an Ryzen 1700 or better. Anyway, I'm stumped as to why a CPU question is being asked in the audio section.
