Modmic 5 echos incoming voice comms back to everyone else instead of muting

I just got a Modmic 5 to replace my Modmic 4. Any time I am on Discord and I use the physical mute switch on the mic, my voice input gets cut off, but instead of no audio output from my end to everyone else on the server, it causes whatever anyone else is saying on the server to echo out essentially. It did this with my Modmic 4 as well, but I could never figure out how to fix it. Any ideas on how to fix this/what could be causing this?

The mic didn't come with any drivers. Or are you suggesting on board sound drivers?

Wow @Zangtetzu, I admit this is a new one for me.

Please contact us at customerservice@AntlionAudio.com to help figure this out. I, being the marketing guy, don't even know where to begin. I mean, it never hurts to make sure your drivers are up to date. However, it may be something else entirely.
