Silver Contributor hasn't renewed

iRileyx

Hey guys

The issue/bug is pretty self explanatory with the title :P

My contributor normally renews on the 1st of every month, however this month for some reason it hasn't, I only noticed last night when the advert on the forums re-appeared, as i'd had no emails from paypal or the forums to tell me it had expired or failed to renew.

When i check my paypal pre-approved payments, the silver contributor is still there and is still "active" apparantly.

Funds shouldn't have been an issue as I definiitely had over $10 in there at the time payment was due to be taken, and other monthly payments from the days before/after this was due all went out fine.

After having a closer look it's also saying the next payment is due on 31st July, so it's definitely not been cancelled on my PayPal.

I don't want to manually go through the store and purchase it again just incase it's been delayed for whatever reason, and risk somehow then being charged twice.

Anyway figured i'd post and hopefully have one of the staff look into this for me, unless I somehow messed up and didn't realise i'm pretty sure it's nothing on my end that caused this "disruption" to the subscription xD

I have suspicion this is issue on PayPals side. From what I've read concerning FPC subscriptions, PayPal has started to requiring CC/Debit card info as mandatory for auto-renewal subscriptions. No, I don't know if this is reason behind your issue nor why they have added this. Just my thought.

If the payment fails for some reason, PayPal will try a couple of times, then skip that month (though usually I thought it emails you). If you want access this month, you can cancel the billing agreement within PayPal, then resubscribe again from the store, or if not then make sure the payment can work next month (enough money on your account etc), then when the payment is taken at the end of the month you can run the script pinned in bugs and issues to regain access (it says it's for floatplane but works for contributors too).
