If you read my post I clearly said I have cool air being drawn in from outside the case, and warm exhausting out the back of the case.

actually

that is setup to pull cool air from outside,

you said outside, not outside the case. big difference. and when i asked about it, you said yes thats what you were doing.

regardless, you're still pulling heated air into the case, which is still the cause of your gpu temps being high.

Lol, don't try to justify you being a douchebag. You're an idiot.

wow! way to bring insults for no reason into this.

you werent specific, and when i asked to clarify, you agreed. your lack of being unable to communicate was the issue.

what part of this makes me a douchebag? get over yourself

Honestly, prior to spending more money to try delidding the CPU or on additional cooling parts, I would just try to re-orient the fans to exhaust the AIO out of the case instead of into the case...  If that doesn't work, then you could consider getting either a separate AIO for the GPU or building a complete loop cooling system.  I would look at delidding a good CPU as either something to do if you're an enthusiast who has a back-up or as a last resort measure for poor CPU temperatures.

@TomR

just so we are clear, you have you AiO as an intake in the front of the case?

Is it a 240/280mm aio?

2 exhaust fans (1 on back and 1 on top)?

If the AIO is at the front of the case then it should work fine as an intake if  the airflow rate of the case is good. The problems that might be cropping up are that the case might be too restrictive on the intake for good airflow, or you either need to populate both exhaust mount (top and back) with higher flow fans. You can usually test to see if it's a restriction in the intake of the case by removing the front panel to see if temps drop.

Delidding will drop CPU temps but do nothing for case temps, if anything it will raise them as the thermal efficiency of transfer to the aio will have increased.

I would assume there is no option for an air intake at the bottom of the case/psu-shroud to help with cooling the GPU?

its cuz hes pulling hot air from outside and blowing it into his system....

Yeah so is a few of my builds pulling air through the Rad into the case. That alone doesn't explain those high temps

it does contribute to it though. if hes playing cpu intensive games, blowing the heat back into the system can have a significant effect on gpu temps.

swapping the rad to be exhaust instead of intake would be the first thing to test.

A lot of thise depends on what gpu he is using. If the 1070 is a FE or single fan ITX card then that temp isnt that odd. If its a triple fan design then yeah its too hot.
