I mean that is a good processor with 6 cores and good upgrade path it will get the job done for you, the only problem is that it is not very good at overclocking at all

It's the best there is for what they want to do in their price range. OC was never in the question.

Actually ryzen overclocks really well, it just has a lower mac OC than intel.  Ryzen cpus OC better over stock clocks than intel i7's.

Want to custom loop?  Ask me more if you are curious

You misunderstand me, I mean a 1600 can go from 3.0ghz to 4.0Ghz very consistently where a 7700k will go from 4.2ghz to 5Ghz consistently.  Ryzen OCS 1ghz and intel manages about 0.8ghz.  In that case ryzen actually OCS better than a 7700k (relatively speaking)

With Ryzen you do not have to worry about thermals, since on any cooler (just do not get Cryorig H7 if you choose Ryzen non X or 1500X) it works perfectly especially in their stock. The stock cooler is decent to keep 60c load maybe?

But trust the stock cooler

-Frequencies DON'T represent everything and in many cases that is true (referring to Individual CPU Clocks).

Mention me if you want to summon me sooner or later

Spoiler

My head on 2019 :

Note 10, S10, Samsung becomes Apple, Zen 2, 3700X, Renegade X lol
