I plan on upgrading my gpu from the r9 280x to a Gtx 1080. I want to know if it is ok to upgrade to the 1080 without the need to upgrade to other parts. Im trying to avoid bottleneck as much as possible. I appreciate the help. Thanks :)

My current build is the attached file

Shouldn't be too bad. Considering what you pay for a 1070 at the moment if you can even get it somewhere, just get the 1080, even if it bottlenecks a bit, it's better value than the 1070 at the moment

Maybe try and find a used xeon 1231v3 or a 4790k/4770k if you have money left

Depends, what resolution are you planning to game at? If it is 1080p then I wouldn't do the upgrade as I'm not sure myself if the Haswell i5 architecture can keep up, if it was 60Hz 1080p I wouldn't do the upgrade considering the R9 card already delivers 60Hz performance.

What refresh rate? If it is just 60Hz get a GTX 1060 and save yourself money, actually nevermind they are overpriced. Maybe look for a used 970 or 980/Ti?
