Is %TEMP% safe to delete?

Hello,

I deleted everything in %temp% is my PC badly effected?

Temp is nothing but temporary files used by the system. There shouldn't be anything important in that folder.

i wipe the inside of the temp folders all the time ... never had any problem, aside from getting a little grumpy each time because of how much junk gets left behind in there 

 

if this was a perfect world, there really would not be anything in that folder if programs would clean up their "temporary" stuff after they are done their job and got closed. 

 

but no program ever cleans up after itself ... if programmers would behave at home like they program their software to behave, they would ALL be sleeping on the couch. for ever.
