It can strain or break the wires, best to avoid very tight bends

As long as you give it a gentle arc and don't kink the cable your not going to have a problem.

I've heard from Linus that very tight bends can decrease performance.

i5 6600k and GTX 1070 but I play 1600-900. 1440p BABY!

Still, don't put too much faith in my buying decisions. xD

I can tell from experience to never bend wire tightly. Give a gentle arc. It may not hurt anything right away (though it could) but as time goes on... you will have problems.

 

If you have to make tight bends, buy 90 degree ends. I did and I never have problems. Monoprice.com I love them!

 

Instructions for frustration management:  

1) Sit at desk.   2) Repeatedly slam forehead against desk.

 

I never said I was smart, just smart enough to be dangerous.
