I'm still waiting for AGESA 1.0.0.6 BIOS update on my B350M mortar ... but it seems like that non of the MSI motherboard have that update yet.

Any idea when can we expect it?

I was reading some aticle about that: http://www.anandtech.com/show/11447/amd-announces-ryzen-agesa-1006-update

It says that AMD already provided that update to motherboard manufactures by the end of May. And we should expect it to be released in middle to late June.

Now it's July, and there still hasn't been any update regarding that from MSI side.

I'm having some random PC crashes every few days, and my RAM still can't acchive 3200MHz, so I'm kinda hoping that AGESA update will fix that.

If not, I will have some fun time, trying to figure out what's causing my magical system crashes every few days.

Had the updated BIOS from ASrock almost a month ago now... fixed the RAM issues completely, in fact can run it in XMP above rated speed.

Hope you get the update soon.

Depends on the mobo and manufacturer. I have Asus boards. The CH6 (I don't have) got it first, later the X370 got it, and shortly after B350 got it. If MSI do similar they may be making their way down from the top first. Even if not released, check if they do beta bios also.

I did notice that MSI provided some beta BIOS updates with that AGESA, but I don't feel comfortable flashing my BIOS with beta version. If it would be dual BIOS motherboard ... then sure.

But even flashing with stable BIOS can be kinda risky, so I'm not doing any beta on motherboard xD

They are working on an official release. You can see the progress with all the agesa 1006 beta bioses being rolled out every 2wks or so.

If you don't want to wait then check out if the beta bios for your board has new agesa.

Last update fore b350m was jun 12. Im confident that it will have the agesa update, although it is an unofficial bios.

Yeah I also found that forum after some time of digging around google.

I don't feel safe using beta BIOS on motherboard that isn't dual BIOS sadly.

Thats understandable, just remember if your scared of bricking your board, flashing an official bios poses the same risk.(can also brick your board)

I would suggest to wait till the middle of this month and it should be out.

You can keep informed by looking through b350m beta bios threads through msi forums to see what problems people are reporting and which ones are getting fixed in the next releases.

Thanks for all the information.

I was always looking at official website for BIOS updates, but now I will also keep looking at forum for beta BIOS.

And yes I know it's the same risk with bricking ... That's why I try to avoid BIOS updates as much as possible. And I always hope that lights won't go out while I'm flashing BIOS xD

Yes, they are full BIOS updates and NOT beta for the ASrock mobo I have.

There are a few motherboards now that have some kind of reflashing technique in the event of a BIOS brick, so it's not as bad now.

Yea which bios version?

What ram kit do you own?

Have you tried getting high ram speed if you couldn't before? Also if you did, what setting since XMP is still needs work and people report success with "MemoryTryMe!" or manual setting?

Is your cpu overclock stable?(better or worse than official?)

All this will help us out greatly.

Hey i found a relevant thread on msi's Forum. OP got his memory speed higher than previous Bios(corsair LPX 3200mhz), but it looks like his CPU overclocking became unstable/harder then before.  Worth a look to see how far this board's bios has improved since official release back in the first week of May.

Darkhawk( really appreciate his help for beta msi users) confirmed that latest beta has AGESA 1006

It is odd that it is still beta, that Crosshair has typically been reported as having fast and frequent BIOS updates. Not that it would likely be an issue, I guess they have stricter validation testing requirements before finalising.

My Gigabyte X370 has been final for a couple of weeks (went through a few betas in the weeks before that).
