450-550 seems legit these days for 1070 mining-hype card.

I'd say you can probably get away with $500 from what I've seen. Most on ebay are 450-500.

I'm still debating on selling my 1070s or not (I have a MSI Gaming X and a FTW as well).

The bad stuff you heard about ASUS probably related to this old AMD card lineup they did...where they used the cooler from a Nvidia card and it didn't line up with the AMD GPU and it caused it to run hot...I forgot what series it was though. It was quite a long time ago.

Yeah, you take a 10% hit. That's why I'm like...is it worth it? Even at $1,000 ($500 per card), I'd lose $100 to ebay, and roughly $15ish on shipping (USPS flat rate box).

Though for me, I bought mine used. The Gaming X was $340 and the FTW was $360. But if I don't make over $50 per card, I don't see it being worth it (That and it's unknown when the market will crash to drop 1080 prices).

You'd be surprised at the prices they're going for on ebay...seen a few go for $500+ already. haha.

I hope you find support for it. I have two 1070s, but they are used for rendering (vray). I tried SLI for lolz on my main PC (My server doesn't have SLI support) using some really old flex bridge (2700K still lives on) and the only thing I saw a gain in was 3D mark. Then again, I don't own any hardcore games, mostly casual stuff.

I'm still kind of debating on pulling the trigger to sell these at $500 and get 1080s though...but I kind of don't know how long it'll take for 1080s to drop down (They're getting low in stock too since everyone with a 1070 sold it to buy a 1080 instead).

Yeah, my 3D modeling software (3DS Max and Maya) were just like derp, use the first GPU when in SLI. My games are just PS4 ported RPGs so they don't need much power at all for 1080p60.

Also, why are you looking at the FTW 1080? The FTW2 1080 is $550.

Yeah, I don't think you're going to make enough on your 1070 on ebay at least to justify it at $500 since you bought the card new at $450.
