Hello,

This is my first comment on the Forum, as I am needing help/assistance/feedback -- hopefully someone will be able to assist. Thank you, in advance.

I do not much use the internet. However, that doesn't mean that I do not like to make use of features/functionalities when I can.

It bothers me tremendously that websites I used to be able to access with no complications, are now being restricted for me to access, simply because I am confined to soviet-USA (fascist-USA? Tyrannical-Police-State, Continent Irrelevant State) ... I am wanting to make use of a VPN proxy(*?*) so as I no longer am hindered in making use of this tool known as TheWorldWideWeb ...

someone, please assist with the endeavor.

Find a VPS of your choice. You don't need a lot in terms of specs. 512Mb of RAM or less a single core and ideally you want 1Gb/s or 10Gb/s link to a server near you for best results. Or for security somewhere outside of your country. After that use a tool like PuTTy to sign in and simple follow these steps.

Just keeping this here as a I live in the US and never seen a site blocked. Ive seen the FBI take down sites, but I have never had my ISP block a site. Just saying. 

I just want to sit back and watch the world burn.

You've never encountered messages that say stuff like,

"Sorry, your location is restricted from viewing this content." (paraphrasing)

?

The website(s) still exist/are active -- just not permitted access from various locations (i.e. All of the U.S.)

 

Try browsing around not using Google(Chrome)/Microsoft(InternetExplorer)/Macintosh(Safari?), but a different domain browser, like dogpile ... or something ... ... just browse around at the different sites that come up, which otherwise may necessarily be restricted... then, click on one, and you'll see a similar aforementioned message.

practically any Russian website I come across kicks me out -- regardless, I can't figure out for the life of me what it takes to set up a VPN ,, and switching-up to Microsoft Windows 10 (because a friend gave me a copy so I can play Xbox games w/ him [servers]) is the biggest mistake I'd ever made in my life.

[EDIT:] It's like that movie, with Seth Rogaine and Jaime Franko,, where the country they go two is soo overwhelmed with propaganda, that otherwise it's just normal for them -- to think that the entire earth consists solely of just the one country (which the two are visiting) [to say the least].
