Can someone please tell me a good build for $1500 based around the 4770K? I'd also like an R2 Midi case. Other than that I'm open to everything.

Don't need a hard drive. The OS I can get for a student discount for $69.99 and would be included in the $1500.

I'll be using this system for video editing in CS6/Vegas/After Effects and doing some gaming as well. A CUDA card is needed for Premiere and After Effects.

I'd recommend an 8350 at this price point but whatever.

Console optimisations and how they will effect you | The difference between AMD cores and Intel cores | Memory Bus size and how it effects your VRAM usage |
How much vram do you actually need? | APUs and the future of processing | Projects: SO - here

Intel i7 5820l @ with Corsair H110 | 32GB DDR4 RAM @ 1600Mhz | XFX Radeon R9 290 @ 1.2Ghz | Corsair 600Q | Corsair TX650 | Probably too much corsair but meh should have had a Corsair SSD and RAM | 1.3TB HDD Space | Sennheiser HD598 | Beyerdynamic Custom One Pro | Blue Snowball

What's the system being used for?

Why the 4770k?

1500 USD?

Why don't you need a hard drive?

I need an SSD not a hard drive because I have one already. The system is being used for video editing and gaming.

What kind of content are you working on? Programs being used?

Here is a build I recommend, sorry about my issue... I make things look good no matter what the price :|  I'll even spend $100 more for something that looks amazing!

Intel Core i7-4770K 3.5GHz Quad-Core Processor $319.99 - overclockable, great processor

Corsair H100i 77.0 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler $99.95 - will keep the CPU cool and can change colors, I original got this hoping you would set it to a gold color.

Asus Z87-PRO (V EDITION) ATX LGA1150 Motherboard  $179.99 - the motherboard is great! its got a gold color scheme, which you will see what I've chosen to match it ;)

Corsair Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory x2    $69.99(each) - these are the awesome Corsair vengeance memory but are gold color, giving them the perfect color to blend in nicely.

Samsung 840 EVO 120GB 2.5" Solid State Disk $105.00 - enough to hold the operating system and quite a reasonable amount of average applications.

EVGA GeForce GTX 770 2GB Video Card $349.99 - a great card by Nvidia, it will also match the colors of this build

Corsair C70 Gunmetal Black (Black) ATX Mid Tower Case $117.99 - looks awesome, easy to configure your system and has a Window for all the awesomeness

Corsair RM 650W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply $119.99 - all you need for this build, its also fully modular and 80+ gold

Asus DRW-24B1ST/BLK/B/AS DVD/CD Writer $16.99 - why not?

OS: whatever you want!
