Upgrading An Old Dell Computer.

I have an old Dell Inspiron 620 desktop that I have neglected after getting a new gaming pc. I still want to make use of for office related task and it has a core i3(2 gen),4gb ram,windows 7. What are some things I can do to it to make it faster. I don't want to put to much cash into it. Maybe around $100 to upgrade this computer. Any ideas?

If it were me. I would see how much ram you normally use on the machine. As I think an SSD would make a mighty fine upgrade. After that I would look at more ram. As far as updating Windows goes, Windows 7 is only good for another 3 years or so, so you have to think about if your going to use this machine for another 3 years or more. 

I just want to sit back and watch the world burn.

An SSD never hurts either... You can get some used ones off Ebay for cheap. The SSD will probably work fine even if it's used. Also switching to a less demanding OS, Linux (like Ubuntu), also doesn't hurt.

Depends on how much your want to throw at it. Samsung is one of the best. Not sure what your looking at Size wise, but I would go Samsung if your can afford. As the Windows 10 Key will eat up most of your budget. Might look in the 250 Gig range, which shouldnt be too expensive. The 850 EVO series should do your justice.

I would say if it were testing and eval then it would be legal, but if your planing on using it for long term then no. I dont trust any site that isnt a reputable retailer or MS.

Those sites offer grey market keys. Legally questionable if you ask me. I will ONLY purchase keys from MS or a retailer like Newegg or Amazon.

You need a Windows disk. Or see if Dell put a recovery partion on the HD.

look for a cheap i7 (2nd or 3rd gen) on ebay extra 4GB of RAM would be good and a better gpu

Get some ram (same stick) and some storage and voila! Fast work PC
