SD card for laptop?

TobiasMB

I was wondering if it is possible to use an SD card for storage on a laptop, instead of bringing around an external harddrive, if it will be a good option for small storage and if it will be reliable. Not for storing lots of programs but more for storing text files etc.

You definitely could. it's much more reliable than say... A floppy disk.

Just now, M.Yurizaki said:

I would find it more useful for semi-permanent storage. If you want something to carry around from computer to computer, I would recommend a small thumb drive you can attach to a keychain instead.

Yeah, if I were to go for this option it would be for more or less permanent storage, rather having a thumb drive with me on a keychain or similar for moving files from one PC to another.

Thanks for the help guys!
