that seems good. But how are ryzen 5 1400 or 1500x prices there. Along with am4 motherboards preferably b350

Ryzen 5 1400 is 20 euros more than the 6400, and the 1500x 40 euros more

Yeah checking out the Ryzen 5 1400 would be an idea. Also I would get a single 8GB stick of RAM. 2 4GB sticks will use all the RAM slots on your motherboard this H110 motherboard.

If you can't afford Ryzen, then this is about the best you can get. What games/res will he be playing at? You might be able to save some money by getting a Pentium G4560.

Then an i5 is probs better, as it's 4 physical cores. Though the Pentium G4560 is a 2c/4t 3.5 GHz CPU. So if a higher clockspeed is better for CS:GO and such, rather than more actual cores, I'd get the G4560.

Yeah there's about $60 difference is all from his build, IMO it's worth it for the extra 1 TB and performance of the 1600.

Yeah the 1600 is worth it but if he can't afford it he can get something cheaper. And yeah 2TB HDD often have a better price to performance ratio but then there are people like me who have a 250GB SSD and a 1TB HDD and have no idea what to do with all the storage. xD

Yeah, can understand it if he really can't afford it, but if he can stretch that extra $63 it will be worth it and the build will last longer with regards to multi-threaded gaming etc.

Since i live not in the US, the price difference is bigger, we use Euros and the local resellers dont have extra 63$ they will have like 100$+ if you get what im trying to say

Sorry but all I had to go on was the pcpartpicker you posted in the first place in US dollars. Not sure where the closest Euro country to Estonia would be from pcpartpicker, so I chose Italy, and it's come out to 736 Euros  https://it.pcpartpicker.com/list/cKWr8K

If you have to use local shops, it might be better to see what they have first, and post the parts here... it's difficult when we have this disparity between the pcpp lists and the actual costs where you live as that CAN be a big difference.

I would look into maybe spending a bit more on a 1060, maybe fish around for some deals online. Only thing is that the prices are pretty inflated right now.

I would also see if you can fit in an ssd but thats not all too important. I think they are just a bit overrated.

Everyone in this thread focusing on the CPU and which CPU he should get.... it doesn't really matter which CPU he gets as whatever it is will be limited by the performance of a 1050ti.

anything over a Pentium G4560/R3 would be largely wasteful unless he intends an upgrade to the GPU in the near future.

47 minutes ago, Cynestal said:

Im building a pc for my brother, and i put up a build, is this good? Its the best stuff in Estonia you can get for a budget like that - https://pcpartpicker.com/list/z2vZm8

Don't let me tell you that your build is "wrong" or anything... You should spend your money on whatever makes you happy... PC building is not always all about price:performance for everyone... but if that is your goal, you are overspending in some areas and underspending in others which would results in lower overall gaming performance. You should be aiming for something a little more like this: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/GRjWsJ

A build like that would give you vastly superior graphical settings with comparable framerates in the majority of situations compared to your original build as well as an SSD to help out with your OS navigation. That build is a guideline since I don't have any way to price out anything in Estonia, so you will need to fill in some of the blanks on your own. Its also worth noting that the RX 580 8GB in the build above could usually be had for much cheaper, but due to supply/demand with all the etherium mining going on, prices have gone up. You could wait for them to come back down before buying, and maybe even R3 will be out by then and you could take a look at those as that lineup should be quite promising for budget gaming.

Also in your pricerange, I could recommend looking into the used market if there is anything available where you live. it shouldn't be too hard to find some decent gaming components with some slightly older hardware in order to save yourself some money, although you would need to know what you're looking for.
