So right now in this potato i have a PSU called RASURBO EAP 550 and this is the voltage that i get in Aida64. Was thinking to upgrade the PSU since in the future wanna upgrade to a I5-5700 and dunno if this potato will be enough for it. When i went to the local computer store the guy told me why do you need such an expensive powersupply... you can these noname ones for far cheaper. Are those worth it or do i really need the certified ones?

Your PSU is a no-name and should be replaced. That said, AIDA64 is not an accurate software to read voltages with and you should ignore it completely.

My account is almost entirely dormant. Hope you all are having a grand time. Many years of fun were had here.

That guy is full of shit don't listen to him.

Psu quality definitely matters. If you have bad voltage regulation (which is evidently the case with the psu right now because regulation on the 3.3v rail is like SEVEN WHOLE PERCENT) or lots of voltage ripple you might see other components in your pc die quicker. As well, bad PSUs probably use bad components that would result in the psu also dying faster.

80+ certification doesn't mean better quality though generally higher efficiency indicates a higher quality psu. Not always though.

What PSUs are available for you?

Okay... and what would you recommend? I mean the MB is a Micro-ATX with one single GTX1050ti. 450 or 550W?

Well i suspected this since i got this power supply from the same store a while back when i had a GTX 550ti and that card died in like 1 year with a pink screen(most likely RAM fail). From what i've read so far i dont need really that many watts... i got a CPU/MB/RAM/GTX1050ti/2SATA drives and my budget for this will be most likely around 100Euro

Yeah... watts isn't what you need. It's quality that you need.

450 or 550 would be fine for you. 550 if you think you'll ever go high end in the future.

The psu naturally isn't the highest quality but it's quite a decent unit especially for the price. At the very least it'll be hugely better than what you have now.

If you want you could check out the forum psu tier list. This psu is a tier 3 there, which basically means "good for low to moderate budget builds"

Your current psu would probably be like tier 7.5. Aka crap and you might want to pray it doesn't blow up :P

It's a hell of a lot better than your PSU now, I'll say that much.

It's a Seasonic unit man. That's hard to beat for quality.

SeaSonic G series is tier 2 on the list and good psu

If you want a few other options there are these that are a bit higher quality then the Seasonic @STRMfrmXMN mentioned. Naturally they cost a bit more.

http://www.pcgarage.ro/surse/corsair/cx550-80-plus-bronze-550w/

These are better than the Seasonic but not by THAT much. They cost a bit more.

If you want a pretty high quality unit there's this guy.

It also costs more though.
