I got the 240G kit with all the aluminum parts earlier in the week. It's been running fine but I've noticed the CPU temps are a bit odd. It's a 6600k @ 4.0GHz and I'm currently in the process of undervolting it just so it will stay in the 80c range.

4.0GHz at -0.10 vcore offset has all 4 cores sitting in the low to mid 80s under prime95 smallFFT.

If it add the 1080ti at full tilt the core temps do start creeping into the 90s.

I just wanted to ask if this was normal. This is my first time around with full watercooling so I'm not really sure what I'm looking at here.

I am aware that a $240 isn't going to offer the most in terms of performance.

I don't own a 6600k not the 240g kit so can't say for sure, but it does sound a bit hot. has the system been fully bled of air?

also prime95 can do strange things with AVX so maybe also consider something less torturous such as realbench and Aida64?
