How to change the icon of a program.

Pachuca
Go to solution Solved by CaptainMI,

You could use a program called Resource Hacker.

Just make a backup of the original exe.

I would like to change the icon for some of the games I play like overwatch and mass effect. I came across this guide using resource hacker on the internet and it seems to work for overwatch, but only temporarily as the icon reverts back to it's default logo after restarting the game. Does anyone know how to make this a permanent change?

Just using the Change Icon option in the properties of the program works for me.

that works for a shortcut, but not for exe files. I need to change it when it's in the taskbar too.

thanks, that's what I've been using. It's a bit buggy so I wanted to know if anyone had other suggestions.
