I did not include an SSD, and I recommend you add that in later. to make this easier, make a 200GB os partition on your HDD, and another 800GB - install the OS on the 200GB, and it will be easy to transfer later.

I opted for a lower gpu since it's pretty much impossible to find anything better in stock unless you start looking at 1080s. I went for a freesync monitor to go with it.

 

If it matters to you you can get this monitor to go with it instead, its va so better colors.

so put a 1060 in the build I originally suggested. - it may be over budget by $40, but it's worth it for a powerful GPU

I'm looking at a few right now and I'm having a hard time finding even a 1060 that's in stock. The miners are onto Nvidia too now...

 

Shoprbc is out, whenever you go there there's a little thing that pops up at the top saying that all 1060s are out of stock and they won't backorder em.

I'm actually so triggered by miners right now lol. It's pretty much impossible for most pc people to get a good pc right now because it's impossible to find the most commonly used GPUs on the market in stock.

Do note that I did find one though.

Why?

a 1050Ti can run AAA games at 60FPS at 1080p. I'd much rather have a GPU that can hold a steady 60FPS with Vsync, rather than a GPU that can't and compensates for it with adaptive refresh rate.

 

although I've never used adaptive refresh rate, so take everything I say with that in mind. maybe I'm underestimating Free/G-sync

Well, I'll love them in a few months, where you will be able to find an RX 480 for $100, when these miners who bought 4 of them at $350 realize that they'll never pay for themselves, and desperately try to mitigate their losses. (or just when the mining bubble pops)

Not at maxed settings though. With freesync you'd be able to crank up settings a bit without worrying about tearing or stuttering. Yes you'd be getting a bit lower fps but if it's dipping into the 50s or high 40s will you notice that much?

 

That's just my opinion tho, I personally can't stand tearing or stuttering whereas dips at times is ok.
