Is Kinguin reliable?

If it says code 8 try this:

Press and hold the button “Windows” and the button “R” to open the “Run” 
window.
Write in the “Run” window the following command: “SLUI 4”.
Press the “Enter” button on the keyboard.
You will now have a “Phone Activation” window in front of you.
In the window you will need to choose the country from which you registered.
Call the activation number after you chose the country.
After you dialed you should be asked to write you’re “Installation ID”.
Note: type the installation ID in your phone.
After you typed the installation ID it will ask you how many copies of 
Windows have been installed with this license and you should choose “1”. If 
you choose any other option it will not work.
Note: The option “1” you chose means that you only used it once.
After you did the steps above you should get a confirmation ID and then you 
are set to go with a workable product key.

In a Paul's Hardware video, he used Kinguin.net to purchase an OEM Windows 10 key on the cheap and it worked, so I tried it. However, when I went to register it, I received an error it was already registered, and when I tried to put in a claim it requires me to jump through a bunch of hoops with Microsoft tech support before issuing a new key or refund, which has been a pain in the ass.

 

Did I just get unlucky with this code, or is this a common theme with this website?

I'm not sure about windows keys but for games, It was great. If the key didnt work their live chat was fast and very great in providing me with a new key that did work.

 

I'd go to r/microsoftsoftwareswap and buy from a moderator selling win10 keys if you're looking for a windows key

I saw that video right after he released it and also purchased an OEM windows 10 key, it worked perfectly for me.

In your case i would try contacting kinguin support.

I did triple check. It's entered correctly. :(

If it says code 8 try this:

Press and hold the button “Windows” and the button “R” to open the “Run” 
window.
Write in the “Run” window the following command: “SLUI 4”.
Press the “Enter” button on the keyboard.
You will now have a “Phone Activation” window in front of you.
In the window you will need to choose the country from which you registered.
Call the activation number after you chose the country.
After you dialed you should be asked to write you’re “Installation ID”.
Note: type the installation ID in your phone.
After you typed the installation ID it will ask you how many copies of 
Windows have been installed with this license and you should choose “1”. If 
you choose any other option it will not work.
Note: The option “1” you chose means that you only used it once.
After you did the steps above you should get a confirmation ID and then you 
are set to go with a workable product key.

Kinguin is as reliable as Ebay, the trick is to look at the SELLER reviews and  pay the extra dollar for NextKeys or whoever has good reviews over the cheapest option and when activating do the PHONE ACTIVATION, activating automatically can sometimes cause issues, 2 Windows 7 and a Windows 10 key good so far plus several random steam key codes have all worked without issue.

I can relate to OP. I hear people swear up and down how great g2A is and all I can think of is the first and only time I used them, I had a bad key and it took them 6 months to refund me even with shield.

I went through these steps and was able to register the key with Microsoft support via phone registration. Thanks!

I have also ended out with an issue with the activation and called Microsoft support with this method and it resolved the issue.

I did not go through the Kinguin "Report a Problem" method as I'm not sure what happens giving the Installation ID to a third party, giving that through to Microsoft themselves sorted it out.
