After I updated BIOS due to audio-related reasons, before Windows logo shows, an underscore blinks for 5-6 seconds, which doubles my startup time. Other than that, Windows starts perfectly fine. Why do you think that this is happening? Checked boot order, SSD is the first option.

Check fast boot is enabled in bios and try loading optimized defaults.

Sometimes if you enable stuff like RAID or boot from network or you enable extra sata controllers that have raid support ... when that blinking cursor shows up is to give you enough time to press some combination like Ctrl + F11 or F8 or something in order to enter a text menu where you can configure the raid storage before you install operating system, stuff like that.

Maybe such feature was enabled by default after bios update and it wasn't enabled in previous bios.

I disabled fast boot because it wasn't "fast" at all. Didn't check optimized defaults, definitely will.

Didn't know that. RAID and boot from network are not enabled but I will check the other settings.

Thanks for the replies.

It is, if it didn't help then maybe something else is the issue. Just leave it on for now.

Try disconnecting any devices that are not keyboard+mouse+display and also unplug all drives except your OS drive.

Nothing is connected other than keyboard, mouse and speakers. Turned on fast boot but still it is at the same speed. I'll leave it open anyways. Do you suggest any option from msconfig that will speed up the startup?

UPDATE

My problem is solved by changing Legacy to UEFI, which didn't require a fresh Windows installation thanks to MiniTool Partition Wizard. Now, Windows starts even faster compared to the first state. My audio related problems persist, however.
