Alright. I need help.

I've got a problem with my current PC that I built- it's not good enough for what I need. But first, a little backstory. A little over a year ago, I was able to purchase the parts for a brand new PC. Here's a list of the parts:

CPU - AMD Athlon X4 860k Quad Core clocked at 3700 Mhz

GPU - Nvidia GTX 750ti, 2GB

RAM - 4x4GB Kingston HyperX (DDR3)

Storage - 120GB SSD, 1TB HDD

OS - Windows 10

I had hoped to rule the world with this PC; I wanted to edit videos, edit pictures, but most importantly: play video games. Unfortunately, a little while after I built my rig, the new  GTX 1050, 1060, 1070, and 1080 rolled onto the market. Now, after a little while of them being out and realizing that my PC is not strong enough to video edit or play higher-end games at anywhere above 25-30 FPS, I want better. So, I have a few options that I really need suggestions on/what to do. To add, I'd prefer NOT to completely re-build another PC, just for money sake.

1. Change the Graphics Card on my current PC to the GTX 1050ti.

After a little research, I was worried about my CPU bottlenecking this graphics card as well as not do anything different FPS wise if I were to purchase it. But, I used a bottleneck calculator and found that it could work with my current CPU, all I have to worry about is my CPU being too... sucky. I'd prefer this option if possible.

Base Price: $139 (GPU)

2. Sell my PC, Buy a friends that is better (POSSIBLY).

Now, this might seem like the best option (for it would be close to the same price as a new GPU), but, problem is there are MANY stipulations. For example, I don't know if my friend plans to even sell his PC or I don't know if I could sell my PC. Also, there's something about having a PC that you built yourself that strikes the nail on the head, so. This is an okay option.

Base Price: $150 (with selling PC at the LEAST $350)

3. Remove the MOBO, CPU, GPU, and replace it all.

Now, this option is a little bit on the high end for me. I'm broke but I love computers. Basically, what a friend suggested is that I keep my current PSU, RAM, Fans, SSD, and HDD and replace the MOBO, CPU, and GPU. If I were to change the parts, I would go with a basic Gigabyte MOBO that hopefully takes DDR3 RAM (if not, more money. Yay.) The processor would be an i5 (probably not unlocked, I'm not much of an overclocker) pf some sorts. If it's an earlier version of the processor that stills is great, then I'd look into that. Lastly, I would change to the GTX 1050ti or the 1060. Again, this is going to be a lot. I'm not sure if my wallet would like it.

Base Price: $325-375 (this is just an approximation based off of the average of Amazon prices, it's not exact).

Alright, so there's my problem/story. I would absolutely love any feedback or options that anyone would give on this situation. Again, thank you so much for reading!

I would go with either 2 or 3. Bulldozer/Piledriver/trucks series is aging.

The 750ti is a decent 720p card. I cant recommend that you jump from it, to a 1050ti, the performance jump just isnt large enough to justify.
