Dell optiplex 3020 MT Upgrade plan.

Before you jump and buy the PSU. That PC needs an adapter because the 24 will not just fit. Dell has custom 8 pin connector.

Here is the adapter I found on ebay.

Looks like a normal PSU size to me. You might have a hard time organizing cables though. If you can stretch to Seasonic M12II, they're fully modular.

How long has it lasted for those reviewers though. @deXxterlab97 and @STRMfrmXMN can tell you that a high quality PSU is really important. It's like types for your computer. You can cheap out on them to get a better car, but if they blow out you'll damage the rest of your car. If your PSU goes it can kill your mob, GPU, etc.

Dunno why you would replace a server-grade Dell Optiplex PSU with the mediocre VS series but ya know

He needs the 6+4 pin or something for a GPU.

Probably 6+6 or 6+2, but then why not get something like a Corsair CX450?

They're lower than a CXM, right? Or did I read the PSU list wrong?

The VS is much, much worse than the 2016-17 CX/M series.

Yup. That's why I was recommending the grey label CXM. Is the CX the same? I though it was a lower Tier.

The new CX is actually preferable to me because it has a rifle-bearing fan rather than the sleeve in the CXM.

A 290W PSU could power a GTX 670 without OC just fine.

Don't get a 960 unless you're getting one for insanely cheap. They were terrible value new, still relatively poor now.
