I have a floatplane Idea

ChaseB

I have a really cool idea for floatplane. I think the LMG team should look into have an "Only Floatplane Content". They did this on vessel with Nerd sports. I am sorry but I did not really like Nerd Sports. I think the content should be Tech Related or behind the scenes vlogs (not moving blog). A more organized vlog. I am just throwing this idea out there. I would love to hear your feedback.

Thanks Chase B

I guess it could work, but i never really liked the idea of restricted content that can only be accessed by a paid membership, which is why I never signed up for Vessel, but signed up for floatplane instead :P

I dont know if I want them to make too much exclusive content, they have said they do plan to invest more time in high production value series like scrapyard wars as floatplane is a large chunk of their revenue now though.

Please quote our replys so we get a notification and can reply easily. Never cheap out on a PSU, or I will come to watch the fireworks.

I know they've discussed doing something like this already, would mostly be BTS stuff I believe, things that would have never made it to youtube in the first place.

There are a handful of exclusive videos but they are more behind the scenes and very low production value.

If we are going to put a bunch of time investment into something we want as many people as possible to see it.

If its not worth showing to everyone, it probably wasn't worth spending so much time on.

With that said, serialized higher production value "show-like" formats will continue. We still want corporate sponsors to take some of the risk out of it for now but if Floatplane continues to take off the way it has, it's possible to go the Netflix approach more investment into "originals".

I dunno. We are at a very interesting crossroads right now. Viewers are changing. The online video business is changing. Maintaining the status quo is NOT going to drive growth for us.

So at some point soon here we are going to have to reinvent ourselves again.

Let's see what we come up with.....

Keep in mind that Nerd Sports was Vessels own show, made by LMG. It would be like LMG buying series from Jay, Paul or Kyle and that would be FPC only.
