Some 100 series motherboards got the BIOS update even before Kaby Lake was out that made them compatible with the 7000 series of CPU's. If it doesn't have it, you need to update it with a 6000 series CPU.

You have to update the BIOS.

Its really easy to do. You just need a 6000series processor.

 

But I wouldn't recommend the 7700 at this point if you are doing something other than gaming.
