Does PCIE bandwith matter for mining?

Based on the profitability of mining, I'm considering purchasing a dedicated mining rig. However, after researching for extensive periods of time I was unable to find the recommended motherboards for reasonable prices. Most the motherboards I came across had only a PCIE x16 and x4 with the rest being x1. I'm beginning to wonder if the bandwidth of the slots even matters....

 

I'm still relatively new so please dont blame my unintelligibility if its a simple answer.

I don't see how lower PCIE bandwith won't  effect mining. I've never mined and I don't know much about it, but PCIE bandwith definitley has a noticeable effect on gaming and synthetic benchmarks , so I am fairly sure you will notice a difference in mining.

Nope, 1x is fine (All its send is the results of the hashes, numbers is all).

Not really. As I said, its literally just KB of information that is being sent, hardly anything

Yep. PCIe doesn't 1x are more than enough for mining as the data going across the bus is actually pretty small, all the work is being done on the card itself.
