Need Help Asap Scared AF.

Hey guys so I just booted up my PC and it was making weird fan whizzing noises. Sure you might think that's normal but it goes "loud , not loud , and then loud back". Now I thought it was the CPU fan but when I went to the back of my pc to open up the side panel I could hear the noise much clearer and I am obliged to think that it's the PSU. Now the PSU is nothing but a generic PSU that came with the case. But as Im writing this the noise is stable and no longer going loud and light.

 

Update : I took the side panel off now and now I am unclear if it's the PSU or the CPU Fan.

 

Update 2 : I put my ear as near as I could and concluded that IT IS THE PSU. LORD SAVE MY COMPONENTS

Start it up again and see what is causing the noise. Could be a loose wire, loose wire getting caught, or a bad fan.

You can stop the fan of your CPU with your hand (be careful) or just unplugged the 4/3pin and a second and hear if the noise still exist. What is your full build? It seem more likely like PSU fault.

Check and see if it is either, if it is the psu fan then I would suggest going easy on your pc until you can get a new one.

Fan would be ramping up because of either fan failure or PSU overheating so be careful.

"How do I go easy" on it, its basically on from 11 am till 2 am everyday.

Tbh all I do is either play Minecraft which is I guess "stressful" on the CPU and watch TV Shows all day long.

You might be fine until you can replace it then.

Should I open up the PSU and see whats wrong? Or should I not since I know nothing about it.

It's not like a car where you can try your hand [at] fixing things. I'd take it to a repair shop or try to RMA.
