power supply for my gpu

rayrayxxx

i recently bought a hd7870 myst edition
it requires 2 6pin connector, but my psu only have 1. so i used a 2molex to 6pin converter. it works at first then the psu died.

good thing it didn't take other components along with it

i'm considering buying a corsair vs450 or a deepcool da500 because its cheap, but im not sure if this psu can handle this dual 6pin gpu

any suggestions of which i choose on this two?

or any other good cheap psu

Why such an old powerhungy card? And what PSU u want will depend on the rest of the system.

Welcome to the forum!

Don't get a corsair VS series PSU, or that deepcool one. They're both shit.

I have a PSU tier list linked in my signature. anything tier 3 or above will be great. if you want, you could even get a tier 4 and you would be fine, but don't get anything lower.

PSUs are an inventment, so if you spend more on a PSU now, then you can keep that PSU for future builds.
