if ur temps are jackshit then yes. And Der8eur (a hardcore overclocker) sells his own delidding tool called Delid die mate. Would be easier and safe than stabbing the cpu with a knife.

I bet the temps will go crazy since i lived in tropical country ( 22-32℃ )
