Choosing a phone for my grandma

Hi guys i need some help buying a phone for my grandma. She will only use it for phone calls and whatapp messeges.

So i need a cheap reliable phone, if possibl that wont stuck and will run smoothly.

i think galaxy j1 2017 is a good one for only phone calls and whatsapp

I got my dad who's computer eliterit a refurbished i phone 6  just  because he could use face time and take decent pictures  plus it is fairly easy to use for older people

You didnt really specify a price. But when we moved to dad to a smart phone on T Mobile. We bought him a $129 Samsung phone. It only has like 8 Gigs of memory but he does fine with it.
