if you want those features, get Nvidia, if you want performance, AMD

tbh i think you just sealed the deal with performance xD also it is 30 bucks cheaper and not many games use physx and then mantle :o forgot about that thx man lul although my dlc will go to waste till i buy batman i guess oh well

eh, but I'll just say that the R9 280x doesn't MASSIVELY outperform the 770, but if you get a matrix card...you could do that

if i went with the matrix i wouldn't get bf4 so i would lean more towards gtx 770 >_> since bf4 is the only thing that was swinging me towards the r9 280x xD

Between those I'd choose the 280X, between 780 and 290 I'd take the 780.

You are aware you can play Batman on an AMD card right? lol The physx isn't a game ruiner, plus you get more VRAM and Mantle support on the 280X.

Lol I was joking, you implied you were equally excited about getting BF4 with the 280X so maybe you planned on buying the other game later on depending on which on you bought?

I'd guess at Batman ending up cheaper fastest because it's on Steam, and we all know what happens on Steam, the other Batman games are always 75% off!

I'd go for a 770 Lightning if I were you to be perfectly honest.  You mentioned Shadowplay and PhysX and if you even care about those exclusives just a little you will regret not going Nvidia.  I personally just think the Lightning is the best 770 there is but of course the Asus is fine as well (also I really like the 280X and its a steal of a bargain, I just think you will regret not having those features)...

if anything i am probably going with the next nvidia flagship and will be handing down the card i get to my little brother so maybe ill get nvidia later on :) atm he has the 660 i gave to him so you can see a pattern of me handing down some upgrades for him while i upgrade for myself

Get the 280x. higher performance on stock clock compare to 770 and a very good overclocker. That BF4 is also a plus. At least you will save some money for the BF4 DLC which is a must buy.. LOL

The 280x is selling really cheap here, I can get it two for the price of one gtx780. Blame the resellers for not doing any price cut for the Nvidia cards and justifying the high price with the included game bundle. What a greedy suckers.

I strongly recommend the XFX one instead http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150678 its about the same price, it comes with free BF4 via special promo only THEY have. Also the card is alot better looking (no ugly blue pcb/copper heatpipes) :)

The 280X is what I'd recommend, the higher memory capacity is going to be essential going forward with more games coming out with 2GB+ of memory usage the 770 will not last you long.
The 280X is also slightly cheaper and the higher memory bandwidth means you can upgrade to higher resolution monitors without losing as much performance as you would with a GTX 770, Mantle is just a plus.

Yea man XFX has by far the best warranty policy out of all the AMD partners. It really is an amazing card, my friend has 2 in crossfire very quiet, cool and right on par with the quality of the Asus DC2.

Asus 770.

There, I just made up your mind for you. Sorted. :D

But to be serious, I'd stick with NVidia. Shadowplay, Shield streaming, and I just trust them more. I have a difficult time placing my faith in a company that designed and launched their flagship card with such an incompetent cooler that it can't maintain even its stock clock speeds over a period of one hour. Just sayin'...

well to be fair the 290 and 290x were probably meant to be watercooled buy enthusiast paying for a flagship card so =/ but yeah
