I will be back in the US in one month I want to built a new rig. I have a 1000 dollar budget
I only care about it being a silent system
good for the next 4 years
light 1080p gaming
buffering 1440p videos

You're overpaying for your GPU. get a 1060 6GB or RX 580 8GB. the 1060 3GB not only has less VRAM, but also trimmed down CUDA count so you will get less performance. You can get a 1060 6GB easily for the same price you're paying for that 3GB (same for the RX 580 8GB)

Also your choice of SSD.... don't get that one. Get this instead. Its much faster, slightly larger, and much cheaper... not to mention it fits nicely into your motherboard's M.2 slot for a clean look and easy setup/installation, rather than interfering with a PCIe slot: https://pcpartpicker.com/product/ZNBrxr/samsung-960-evo-250gb-m2-2280-solid-state-drive-mz-v6e250

other than those minor gripes it lookse fine. I might suggest other minor changes (such as a motherboard with USB C) but without knowing what is important to you or what is worth paying for in your opinion, its difficult to really make a strong recommendation.

This is my build and disregard the keyboard, monitor, etc. and add another ram stick and I think you're good to go

The 3gb 1060 is sufficient but the 6gb 1060 is marginally more expensive and much better performance

Looks good. if you want to spend more you should seek more storage (250GB isn't a lot) so maybe add an HDD to the build. You could also increase the PSU wattage if you plan to keep it through more than 1 build or upgrade this down the road. If you don't want to do either of those things, you could always step up the CPU or GPU.

I'm not the biggest amd fan but I appreciate the info. and I'll look into it. Ryzen seems pretty interesting but I've used Intel all my life and so far for me it has worked pretty well.

But I'll look into Ryzen. Thanks man!

I am a bit confused, is the extra $100 you left on your post for an OS, or is $1000 for the build only, not the OS too? because everyone is limiting the price to $900 usd it seems...

OP, just buy a 1070 with your current build posted with a seasonic 520w PSU and that wull be fine.

Put the P400S in because the Enthoo Pro M TG seems to have disappeared from PCPP lol, get the Enthoo Pro M instead if that's your preferred case though. I'm almost certain the P400S and Enthoo Pro M have the exact same interior layout, other than the fact the Pro M has a 5.25" drive bay.
