From what I understand the 9590 is a very good 8350 that is overclocked to 5 GZ. Sooooo does it beat the 4770k in video editing? Let's say the 4770k is at 4.5GZ.

noo.. 4770k all the way. I'd get a 4820k though for 2011.

Why? What is the difference

4770K is better

You absolutely need a water cooler for 9590, which adds to the cost of the system unlike the 4770K. I would even suggest a custom loop for that CPU.

It's weird how they release the same chip at different clocks. So theoretically you could buy a 8320 and get it to a 9590 level. Which is also why it's so hot. Maybe it's not supposed to go to 5 GZ lol

I would go with Intel in this case.  The 9590 is an overclocked 8350, but you know, the 4770K can overclock too.

The 4820K might also be worth a look, it's similar to the 4770K except that the 4770K is the best you can get, but the 4820K is only the very lowest LGA 2011 processor, so it gives you upgrade room to a potential 4930K in the future if you want more power, and you get the quad-channel memory which might be helpful depending on what you do.

If you're lucky yes, but usually not because all the chips that can overclock to that level easily enough are selected and sold as 9590s in the first place.  They're sorted based on how well they can overclock, so the difference is if you get a 9590 you're basically paying more for a guarantee that it will at least overclock that high, and probably further.

I would kill or a 4930k but I'm 18 soooo it's far to expensive. It's nice to know that though. Thanks
