Hi guys, hoping to draw on the wealth of knowledge and experience of the people on this forum for an answer to my question.

Basically, what is the cheapest (read oldest/lowest spec) GPU that I can get to run ARK: Survival Evolved?

I'm not looking for Ultra detail etc, just good frame rates on low/medium settings...

I current have a GTS250, and the game is playable for the most part, but get frame stutters etc quite a lot on the lowest settings I can find...

As always, all advice is welcomed, and full system specific can be found in my signature...

Cheers guys,

Josh

So would the 50 series be ok? I was thinking it would need a 60/70?

Ideally, yeah. Depends on how far you can stretch your budget though, and if you went higher end you should really get a better PSU.

Looking at spending a maximum of £80-£100

Been watching some 770's on eBay around the £60 mark, and also looking at the 7950, but don't really have a clue what's a viable option...

I think I would go for the 7950.

Have never understood the hate of these PSU. Absolutely nothing wrong with them whatsoever.

I'm just going off the Tier 4 status... Only cost me £20 though, so can't complain haha
