I just bought these parts for my new pc! https://pcpartpicker.com/list/8KyLXH i have bought all of the parts except the motherboard and ram which I intend to buy in the morning. Is my build good, i just spent $1000 on it because it had to include tax and all that crap. I used a bunch of your guys feedback and i cant wait to join the pc master race! Let me know if there is anything bad about the motherboard or ram that i am getting, i am trying to go for 3200 on the ram b/c it makes a good improvement on ryzen platforms and im going to be using ethernet only and just 1 gtx 1070. Thanks!

That, or just get a single 8GB stick, which I would recommend.

True.

I'd encourage you to either get 1 stick of slower RAM, or 16GB, or a motherboard with 4 RAM slots then, so you can upgrade to 16GB in the future.

But 8GB is still fine, and by the time you really NEED 16GB, you will probably be able to buy 16GB of RAM for $50

Why not just cheap 16GB?

it's almost as expensive as the 8GB 3200Mhz you were going to get.

oh ok ill look for some 16 gb kits

Also keep in mind you can always OC memory, so a 2400Mhz kit might end up OC'ing to 2666 or 2933

my budget is $1000 and tax is a pain so if i got an ssd it would be over budget

i would have gone for a RX580 and a ryzen 1500X then used those savings for a SSD. I just wouldnt want to use a PC without SSD
