Build quality, proprietary awesomeness, multiple Thunderbolt 3 ports, great battery technology, beautiful design, and the Apple logo. That's why it's expensive.

Yea get a $5000/€5000 good looking laptop with a Intel Atom Inside

i think the rest of the family would prefer a aio like this one however as it just consumes less space and is more minimalistic

Apple doesn't need more money for the good look, they need they need creativity which they have, but for that they want like €3500 on their top of the line model for the design, and literally 1500€ hardware, for $5k,you can get a laptop with 2 GTX 1080 TI SLI,4K Screen, probably 64 GB DDR4 RAM,i7,NVME SSD RAID,and so much stuff I cant list, and compare to the €5000 MacBook, for that it looks like a $1600 laptop

There are some cheap AIO's on amazon, and if you can sell this one for around €400-500,then you can get a good AIO than the iMac,and even if that, cant you just take a computer on it's side and put a monitor and keyboard on it? Problem solved

do you think it would be better for me to invest in a better processor and higher storage ssd/m.2 or better graphics ?

Oh yea €2 touchscreen made €2000 of the MacBook (or a overpriced laptop with it's own EFI,and for that reason, people call it a "MacBook" rather than a laptop, and if it was a name changing for it,I would definately change the name "OverpricedLaptopDontBuyIt" or "OverpricedLaptop9000"

I don't think graphics can be upgraded on that, and even if that, probably old mobile stuff, which is nowhere near as good as probably cheap AMD desktop graphics. If it has M.2,then maybe (I doubt it will even have a single sign of it having nvme,so no better than SATA except if you and additional storage,A processor, maybe, but it would cost like €70 (if the CPU is compatible and not soldered,Apple proprieteryness everywhere, and that CPU is probably also mobile,i doubt it is,since i have seen one video made recently about the 2011 iMac,with a i5 2500k.etc) What model of the i5 does yours have?) Yes A SSD can be a no problem

I would absolutely recommend an R5 1600, 6 cores at an excellent price point. I use a 1700 myself. However if all you are doing is gaming the i7 is the best available atm. When discuss dropping to an i5 though or doing anything other than gaming (streaming, multitasking, etc) the 1600 destroys the i5. Brb changing for you.
