I am planning a new build and I am stuck deciding between either having 1x480 radiator or 2x240 radiators.  I will be cooling an i7 7700k and 1x1080.  I had originally thought to use 2x240 and have the cpu after one radiator and the gpu after the other radiator.  My question is:  how much of a difference in temps will I see if I run 1x480 radiator to the gpu then to cpu?  Thanks for the help :)

the water flows really rapidly so there is no significant difference

The speed at which the water (or alternative coolant) is pumped around the loop makes it so the order of the components doesn't matter (or very very negligibly matters).

I'd say your best option is to go with which ever setup you think would be more aesthetically pleasing because performance will be more or less the same.

one bigger rad is probably better than two smaller ones

Technically yes but what are we talking here like a 2~3°C difference? If they're trying to achieve the biggest OC they can then sure it's probably better but if not then the difference won't be mind blowing.

more rads are more expensive and you need more fittings which easily costs you 45€ additionally

Sorry I somehow read your post backwards. I though you said "Two smaller rads are better than 1 big one."
