GTX 1080 FE or aftermarket? It will be water cooled.

Hi guys,

 

I might be buying a GTX 1080 to replace my 2 970's anytime soon.

 

But should I get a FE one since it's cheaper? I do plan to OC it and I will put a water block on it.

Or should I get an aftermarket one instead? Right now I'm thinking of getting a FE card.

 

What do you think?

FE has the best support for waterblocks, just look around and see if you can find waterblocks for aftermarket cards tho

You might find a aftermarket card with better power delivery that has waterblock support

watercooling a GTX 1080 is useless i have a windforce GTX 1080 which is overclocked and in games it barely reach 70c and it's not even one of the best GTX 1080...just saying...you do it for the fun, for the look or whatever, but for performance you gain nothing.

If you only care about the oc, get a strix. Fe is quite limited in voltage and power but I got rid of my strix for an acx as it was cheaper and I didn't have to wait for the block.
