Thats the normal operating range of the 1080 FE if you're worried about it cap your framerate to about 75 fps and the card should run cooler.

Pretty normal temperature for fanboy edition 1080 imo, depend on your ambient temp. Try ramp up the fan speed.

It's fine, you can use MSi Afterburner to edit the fan curve to make it colder but really no need it only throttles at 94Cº

Reference cooled cards are usually designed to run at about 80°C-ish at their peak load, and then adjust their clock speeds so they don't go over. The card's probably set to a temperature limit of 82 or 83, so what you need to look at is the core clock. If it's throttling down heavily while gaming, that's how you can tell whether your cooling is adequate.

Below is deux at ultra setting

Have you tried to use a custom fan curve using msi afterburner? from what  i remember the FE fans need to be running at 60% to keep the card cool. i wouldn't worry about it too much though as the FE 1080's are designed to run in that temp range.

Blower fan sucks bro..to much noise at 100%...60% fan it wont cool down the temp

Aftermarket gpu r best..now i got to know why ppl says wait for the aftermarket gpu!

Or deal with the noise. Ill never buy a third party cooler and use it. Turn up the case fans a bit. Should barley see over 70 with automatic profile. Which is what makes the 10 series so bad when it comes to thermals.

Yeah you will need to be pretty aggressive with the fan curve. Us seeing it won't help you much. You'll have to test and find a good compromise for yourself depending on case airflow and ambient temps. Having said that, yeah, you'll regularly be running in the 90%+ fan speed range if you want more reasonable temps on the blower cooler. It's just the way it is. Nothing to worry about though.

actually...that's not too bad for a reference card...

next time buy a card with an open air cooler...they are all a lot better than blower fan cards.

If its an FE version card you could get the EVGA Hybrid kit for the founders Edition cards

Just turn the fans to a speed that doesn't completely bother you and let the card burn. Plenty of people do the same and say that's how they are supposed to run.
