HDMI 2.0 and still locked at 30hz. WTF

barryallen1

Ok so I've purchased 3 cables so far and I'm starting to get severely angry.

I bought a 3440x1440 ultrawide monitor by AOC.

I currently use a GTX 1080ti and have tried displayport (black screen), DVI (30hz) and HDMI 2.0 (30hz).

Why the fuck can't I get it to 60 hz? Both displayport and hdmi 2.0 should support it :/

Hardware specs? Did you install drivers? Did you set resolution?

With so little info given it's hard to tell what your problem might be.

Please quote my post, or put @paddy-stone if you want me to respond to you.

Which monitor is it? Both the source and monitor need to support HDMI 2.0, not just the source, otherwise it will be limited to the lowest version between the two.
