Im wondering if Cougar or Bitfenix are good brands I all ready know Corsair is because Im power supply shopping for my new system

My Build: Xeon 2630L V, RX 560 2gb, 8gb ddr4 1866, EVGA 450BV 

My Laptop #1: i3-5020U, 8gb of DDR3, Intel HD 5500

Depends on specific model. For example Corsair VS is a shit PSU. EVGA W1 is also shit.

EVGA has some good quality PSUs for a reasonable price, like the G series

Desktop: i7-6700K / Asus Z170 S / H100i V2 / LPX 2400Mhz 16GB / 960 EVO 250GB / 2x 860 EVO 500GB / RM750i  / NZXT H440 / XB271H + Z22n Monitors

Laptop: Thinkpad T450s / i7-5600U / 12GB / 860 EVO 500GB

What do you need? How many wattage? What is the spec of the PC you are planning? What is the budget for PSU?

Never shop by brand - full stop. 

For example, EVGA makes some really good units like the G3, G2, B3, B2 series, but units like the G1 and White/Bronze lines suck ass. Corsair makes some really, really good shit like the new CX/M and RMx, but make absolute bargain basement garbage like the VS line 

 

Shop by model. Even reputable brands like Seasonic, XFX, etc have shitty units.

Bitfenix makes good cases, i built a system with a colossus case and another one with the nova budget case - i can recommend both

Check out the PSU Whitelist in my signature. That should tell you what models from each brand are good.
