Should I sell my old Mac and build a new server?

So I currently have a Mac mini 2012 with an i5 3210m, 16GB of Memory, and I am using an external sad (USB 3.0 400mb/s) running Linux. I am debating on selling it and building a new server for around $350. Would it be worth it?

Thanks.

I would sell it. In 2 or 3 years the mac isnt worth anything anymore so take the money and build somthing "new"

if you need something more powerful go for it, you can easily buy something with much better hardware.

I've been trying to sell it for over a month now with no luck. My only option is to almost sell it at my local computer store, but I may only be able to get $300.

Before I do all of this, will it be worth it? I will only be hosting small servers with only 5-10 people on at a time.
