Hello.

I'm looking to build my first computer. I want something that will last me a while. I game a little bit, stream and watch video's online. I'm on a budget. What do you guys think about the AMD - FX-9590 for a fist time build. I know that it would limit me on upgrading latter on. I want it to be relevant for at least 3-4 years. I was going to pair it with EVGA - GeForce GTX 1050 Ti 4GB FTW Video Card. I would like to start playing some of the newer games but for now I mainly plat Kerbal space program. Any help would be great.

Not worth buying, way outdated already with AM4, only get worse. I would look towards R5 or R3 when that comes.

Please quote our replys so we get a notification and can reply easily. Never cheap out on a PSU, or I will come to watch the fireworks.

Welcome to the Forums!

That is a generation that is at the end of it's lifespan so there will be no possible upgrading, you would be much better off looking at the new Ryzen 5 series of chips if you want a mid level gaming machine. Something like the 1400 or 1500x would be a much better choice over it.

There is an extra $25 to work with. If you want you can change the case, but the 100R is decent and keeps the costs down.

If you can stretch your budget to $30 more. You can afford a 1600 and a GTX 1070. This will easily be future proof for the next few years. You can also upgrade down the track with more storage and a better case if you would want.
