If you use WSUS then you do not get updates straight from Microsoft. The network admin can pick and choose which updates gets pushed out to the users, and when.

So not all Windows 10 machines are fully patched, even if they are connected to the Internet.

well, i assume network admins would have been contacted by microsoft regarding serious patches like this one. It was a big flaw, recently made openly public due to leaks from Project Veritas and Wikileaks. So exploits was underway for sure.
